The total - The subtotal

When a person does a calculation and forgets to include a certain number, then it is normal that he will not get the required result. That is, his calculation will not be correct. In the same way, when a person tries to build his future but forgets to include certain factors or he minimises its importance, then he will definitely commit errors in planning his future. For example, if a person only considers his life in Dunya, he will find certain work, businesses or professions profitable and beneficial. But if the same thing is seen from another angle, another image will be seen. Success which is envisaged by neglecting the Aakhirah is not a success. It is rather a subtotal of the calculation that we do to get success. The majority of people, unfortunately, make the same mistake when they consider this subtotal as the final total which is nonetheless unrealisable without including Aakhirah in this calculation.
