The Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam)

The Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) is a very appreciable and wonderful. It is something that beautifies our life. It is something that illuminates our hearts and minds. The fortunate ones are the ones who get the will to practice it. It is a sign of love for Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). To practice a Deeni act without observing the Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) is like food without salt and a drawing without colour. The true flavour of an Ibaadah lies in doing it while respecting the Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). Allah Ta'ala does not appreciate any Ibaadah which was accomplished without observing the Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). Ibaadah is like a document which will only be worth considering when it has the seal of Sunnah on it. It is because Allah Ta'ala sent Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) as a model to be followed. Therefore, all Ibaadaat must be performed according to this very model for it to be appreciated by Allah Ta'ala.

Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) is the beloved of Allah Ta'ala. The Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) is highly appreciated by Allah Ta'ala because the 'Aa'da' (conduct) of the Mehbub (beloved) is always appreciable and admirable. Those who follow the Mehbub become the Mehbub Rabbaani (beloved of Allah Ta'ala) too.
