A complete way of life

Allah Ta’ala has established a way of life which is called Islam. Allah Ta’ala has the knowledge of everything. Nothing is beyond His knowledge. Thus, this way of life is a complete way of life because Allah Ta’ala alone knows the best way that people should live their lives.

The past, the present and the future are all equal for Allah Ta’ala. He knows what has already happened, what is happening and what has not yet happened. Everything that has already happened and everything that is happening, happens through Allah Ta’ala. And what has not yet happened also, will occur through Allah Ta’ala. Thus, just as this Deen which is called Islam was valid in the past, it is also valid today. And it will always be valid in the future until Qiyaamah. And, it is a way of life that can be adapted everywhere by everyone. Thus, when we say that Islam is a complete way of life, it means that it is a complete way of life for everyone, everywhere and for all times to come.

The knowledge of people in relation to the knowledge of Allah Ta’ala does not represent anything. It is like the moisture that remains on the beak of a bird when it plunges into the water. This is insignificant in front of the ocean. Thus, all ways of life that people have invented is total failure and cannot guarantee the well-being of people on earth because well-being does not only mean eating, drinking, having fun and fulfilling other necessities. There is no well-being without moral tranquillity. And this is acquired solely by living according to what Allah Ta’ala has chosen for us. Otherwise, one can have everything but one will not be able to prevent one’s life from becoming bitter and a burden upon oneself.
