Khula'
Khula' means giving Talaaq in lieu of payment of a sum of money or anything that has a commercial value. This can be proposed by the wife just as it can be proposed by the husband. But in any case, this is concluded by mutual consent of both parties. That is, the woman cannot get her Khula' without the consent of her husband, nor can a certain committee or organisation give Khula to a woman without the authorisation and consent of her husband.
There are some organisations that allow people to live in Haraam by declaring Khula' without the authorisation of the husband. This is completely Haraam. Women who have got Khula' in this way, must know that they are still in the Nikah of their husband. If they marry someone else, it means that they have two husbands at the same time and this is completely Haraam. Similarly, a man who marries such a woman must know that he married someone who is already in the Nikah of another.
Such people will always remain in Haraam for the rest of their lives.
