- APPLICATION FOR HALAL CERTIFICATE
Consume Halaal!
Animals such as cow, billy-goat, goat or chicken are not permissible to consume as long as Zabah has not been performed. A Zabah that is valid and that renders the animal Halaal, is a Zabah that has been performed by a Muslim who has read Bismillah before slaughtering and he has cut all four veins that are found in the neck of that animal. If three veins have been cut instead of four, it is also valid. If a person is slaughtering several animals, he must read Bismillah on each animal that he is slaughtering. Reading Bismillah just once does not suffice. According to the Hadith of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), as long as one is not sure that these regulations are being respected, it is not permissible to consume it. It is very difficult to say whether these regulations are being respected in the chickens that we are consuming.
... Halaal Certificates!
One must not be fooled by Halaal certificates because Halaal certificates cannot render something Haraam, Halaal if the conditions and the regulations that must be respected are not being adhered to. Just as a Halaal certificate cannot make swine Halaal, similarly, it cannot render Halaal a dead chicken or a chicken whose Zabah was not performed.
... Halaal food and Ibaadah
A person who wants to preserve his Ibaadaat such as Salah, fasting, Tilaawat-ul-Qur’an, etc., must avoid consuming nowadays’ chickens because there is no guarantee that they are Halaal. As long as a person is not sure that the chicken that he is consuming was slaughtered according to the rules and principles of the Shari’ah, he must not consume it because above all is our Rabb, our Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), our Deen, our Imaan and our Ibaadat.
... Doing Haraam business / trade
Just as it is Haraam to consume alcohol, in the same way, it is Haraam to trade in alcohol or serve it to someone. Similarly, it is Haraam to trade in the flesh of cows, goats, sheep or chickens that are not Halaal. The money obtained through such a trade is Haraam. A Muslim does not have the right to buy, sell or trade in meat, regarding which he is not sure whether the conditions and the regulations of Zabah have been respected or not. On the day of Qiyamah, such people will be guilty in front of Allah Ta’ala for supplying Haraam foods to Muslims.
