- APPLICATION FOR HALAL CERTIFICATE
The commentary of one who is not Baaligh in Deen:
The time and place of the death of a person is knowledge of Ghaib that no one knows except Allah. Allah Ta’ala says:
"... Neither does it know in which land he will die ..." (31:34)
According to this false story, the Mureed had already come to know that he would die after Zohr. If this is not called attributing the knowledge of Ghaib to another besides Allah, then how can this be explained?
Answer:
The knowledge of Ghaib or I'lm-ul-Ghaib is a knowledge that Allah Ta’ala alone possesses. However, if Allah Ta’ala wants, He reveals some information to whomsoever He wants. It is called "Naba-ul-Ghaïb" (information from Ghaib) in the language of the Qur’an. A Nabi receives it through Wahi and one who is not a Nabi receives it through 'Ilhaam'. The information that a Nabi receives from Wahi is categorical information. On the other hand, information that is based on Ilhaam is not categorical. According to a Hadith found in Saheeh Muslim, on the eve of the Battle of Badr, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had indicated with his hand, the place where such and such person will fall. And yet, Allah Ta’ala said in the Qur’an in S31 / V34:
"... A soul does not know what it will earn tomorrow..."
However, according to this Hadith, we see that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had already announced one day before, what will happen to whom and where.
Often, people who are still naïve and did not yet become Baaligh in Deen, have difficulty in such situations and on the other hand, their stubbornness prevents them from learning from those who know. In reality, there is no contradiction because Allah Ta’ala informed Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) about this through Wahi. It is not mentioned anywhere in the Qur’an that one cannot come to know of it if Allah Ta’ala informs. Just as Allah Ta’ala informed Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) about it through Wahi, similarly, Allah Ta’ala may have informed this Mureed by Ilhaam that he will die after Zohr. If the anecdote regarding this Mureed is a false story, should the Hadith of Muslim also be rejected by qualifying it as a "fable" or "falsehood"? It seems that the author of this commentary has copied it from somewhere without understanding what he copied. Otherwise, according to his analysis, this Hadith must also not be accepted. And yet, this Hadith is a Saheeh Hadith.
