The one who takes bribes = A criminal in society

A person who takes bribes is an undignified person. A society whereby everyone is taking bribes, is an undignified society although the people may seem sociable. This habit of taking bribes that prevails at all levels, ruins the future of many competent people who have done their best to have a good career. Unfortunately they did not get the opportunity to serve the society despite their qualifications, merely because they did not give bribes. Those who are not competent have reached where they do not deserve due to their social, ethnical or political affiliation only. Today we are in such a situation where those who are competent are being led by those who are not competent. Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said in a Hadith:

"When important responsibilities (key posts) will be entrusted to those who are not competent (for that), then await Qiyaamah."
