Allah, the true beloved

When a person has a good relationship with us, we tend to refrain from anything that may displease him. At times, we receive an invitation from a person. We know very well that this invitation is not within the limits of Islamic principles. However, we are very embarrassed to refuse his invitation just because he is a very good person, who has a very good relationship with us.

Is there anyone who is better than Allah Ta’ala? Is there anyone who has bestowed us more favours than Allah Ta’ala. Definitely, not! Then, why can we not resist our temptations, pleasures and desires just not to displease our Rabb, the greatest and the true/real beloved of all?
