Concern for Deen
When a person likes something, he has great concern for that thing. For example, a person loves his child, so he has concern for his child. He takes a lot of precaution to protect his child from falling sick. He keeps him away from cold, sun, dust, etc.
A person, who loves his Deen also, will have concern for his Deen. He also refrains from small things in order not to commit things that are more grave and in order for his Deen not to be affected. Sometimes, this concern of preserving the Deen becomes so intense that he even accepts to leave all comforts of his house and go to another place where he can practice his Deen. In the past, a group of youngsters had left their locality, and went to hide in a cave to preserve their Deen. This event is mentioned in Surah Al-Kahf. And during the time of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), the Sahaabah-e-Kiraam (Radiyallahu Anhum) of Makkah had left their locality to settle in Madinah. This displacement is called Hijrah.
On the other side, sometimes this concern is so weak that we allow ourselves to make all kinds of concessions in Deen. It is this lack of concern and the excess of concession in Deen that have led us to such an era when the life of a Muslim is not according to Deen. His food, his drink, his way of dressing, his marriage, his clothes, his haircut, his attitude, etc. are all beyond limits. Nothing is corresponding to Deen. A person rightly said that all this is happening because Muslims are no longer Muslims. They have become 'lascar'. Nowadays, all the problems that Muslims are facing, it is they themseles who are the culprits. They are the culprits because they have abandoned their Rabb.
When will Muslims understand that their success, their victory and their salvation are found in Deen?
