- APPLICATION FOR HALAL CERTIFICATE
Hadith: Three categories of people, whose eyes will not see the fire (hell)
"There are three categories of people, whose eyes will not see the fire (hell):
(First) The eyes that have guarded in the path of Allah. (Second) The eyes that have shed tears out of fear for Allah and (third) the eyes that have refrained from (looking at) prohibited things." (At-Tabrani)
"Will not see the fire of hell" means that Allah Ta’ala will protect them from the fire of hell and keep these types of people so far from hell that they will not even get the opportunity to look at it.
-
Guarding in the path of Allah Ta’ala signifies all the efforts that a person does to preserve Islam and the Muslims, just like a warrior who guards the frontier of Islam or someone who is bringing about a combat in order to liberate Islam and the Muslims from the grip of the Kaafir. Similarly, a person who is struggling to prevent the infiltration of concepts and doctrines of the Kuffaar among the Muslims, is a fighter whom Allah Ta’ala will protect from hell. This is also good news for those who are burning the mid-night lamp thinking of ways that can protect the community from the attack of Shaitan and his followers.
-
To shed tears out of fear of Allah is something that Allah Ta’ala appreciates a lot because it emanates from the humility of a person in recognising the capacity and greatness of Allah Ta’ala. When a person is humble and modest in this way, he does not hesitate to accept his mistake. Such a person will always admit his mistake in front of Allah Ta’ala and regret over his misdeeds. This regret will prevent him or at least he will not have the courage to commit a mistake freely and without hesitation. Therefore, crying out of fear of Allah Ta’ala is an indication of the piety of a person. And Allah Ta’ala loves those who are pious very much.
-
Refraining from looking at things that Allah Ta’ala has prohibited applies mainly in regards to looking at a person of the opposite sex. Just as it is Haraam to look at a woman, similarly, it is Haraam to look at her photo or to look at her on the screen. According to a Hadith, the curse of Allah Ta’ala is upon the one who looks at the opposite sex and upon that woman who exposes herself for men to look at her.
This is something that is full of temptations; therefore people feel an extraordinary pleasure in it. That is why the one who sacrifices his pleasure by lowering his gaze for the sake of Allah Ta’ala, receives the sweetness of Imaan in his heart. Allaamah Mulla Ali Qaari (Rahmatullahi alayh) says that this sweetness of Imaan is a gift from Allah Ta’ala to His servant. Allah Ta’ala is Al-Kareem (generous by excellence). He does not take back a gift after giving it to a person. So, this sweetness of Imaan will remain with the person who made such a sacrifice. Thus, it is a way of saying that such a person will leave this world with Imaan. Leaving Dunya with Imaan is an unequal and an inestimable favour because it guarantees eternal salvation. In this way, we can say that resistance against temptation of gazing at the beauty and charm of the opposite sex is a means that guarantees eternal salvation.
