Taqwa

Taqwa is the willpower to live for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala. It is a glory and the greatest glory for Insaan. Allah Ta’ala said in Qur'an:

"...Certainly, the most honoured of you in Allah’s sight is the one with the most Taqwa." (S49/V13)

The most effective way to have this willpower and to reinforce it is to be in the company of those who have this willpower. The more a person remains in the Suhbat (company) of the Saaliheen (the pious people); the more there is the possibility of refraining from sins. Those who have affection for the Saaliheen, will approach the Saaliheen. On the other hand, those who express disgust for the Saaliheen, will always be Mahrum (deprived) of all Khair (benefit). In this sense, affection for the Saaliheen is an opening to success and well-being. Just like disgust for the Saaliheen closes the door of all Khair (benefit).
