Accepting invitation

A person has sent an invitation to one. He is a very good friend. That is why according to the principle; one should please him by accepting his invitation. Nonetheless, this invitation is not according to the Islamic principles. So, what should be done in such a situation? There is not much to do. It is very simple. One merely has to refrain from participating and refuse the invitation because first of all, one is a Muslim. One cannot displease Allah Ta’ala merely to please a person!
