Resistance against sin
A person wants to commit sin because he feels great pleasure in doing so. Thus, due to some pleasure, he finds it difficult to resist against his desire. However, if he had known that by resisting against his actual desire, he would get incomparable pleasure, perhaps this could give him the willpower and courage to resist in a way. So, every time that we are tempted to seek pleasure through a Haraam means, we must imagine that what Allah Ta’ala has reserved in Aakhirah, is incomparable and better.
Refraining from sin in the hope of having what is better by Allah Ta’ala, is a very commendable quality of a Muslim.
