Stop deceiving yourself

A person is speaking on the phone and you stop others from making noise. By doing this, you are trying to give the impression to others that you do not want to disturb the person on the phone. However, in reality, your curiosity is troubling you and you want to hear the conversation that is taking place on the phone. Thus, you are only deceiving yourself.

Similarly, you want to know about the salary of your friend. You give the impression that you want to know in order to help him if he is in difficulty. However, in reality, you want to know if his salary is higher than yours. However much you try to conceal, one day, all of this will be disclosed. So, stop fooling yourself!
