Servicing Imaan

An engine requires servicing from time to time in order to remain in good condition and perform well. Similarly, Imaan also degrades and fades like a drawing and thus requires maintenance through servicing on a permanent basis. 

The behaviour of a person is based on the quality of his Imaan. Undoubtedly, a perfect Imaan promotes good behaviour in Deen. For the proper functioning of Imaan on a regular basis, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu A'laihi Wasallam) has recommended his Ummah to recite the Kalimah "Laa ilaaha illallaah" in abundance. An abundant recitation of this Kalimah reinforces Imaan that helps the person to remain in the obedience of Allah Ta’ala with ease and great contentment. For so many years, we have had the bitter experience of watching singing and dancing. Let's try to remain in Zikrullah by reciting the Kalimah "La ilaaha illallaah" in abundance for the little amount of time that is left to live. If we persevere for 40 days consecutively in Zikrullah, we will start seeing its good effect. If ever we did not see its effect, it should be noted that there is nothing to lose by making Zikrullah as Zikrullah means to stay in the thought of our beloved Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala. To get the chance to remain in the thought of his beloved Allah Ta’ala is the greatest gift!
