Throwing stones
“If your house is made of glass, you should not throw stones at the house of the next person.”
It is a saying that contains a lot of wisdom. We are all vulnerable because just as we have virtues, we have shortcomings also. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) labelled every person as sinner. Before criticising a person, we should evaluate ourselves. Maybe the criticism that we are making on the next person, applies to us, in the first place. Most importantly, when we speak evil of the scholars of Deen, it is even more grave. Have you ever seen a person crushing a mountain with his head? The scholars of Deen are like mountains. The one, who speaks ill of them, is like the one who is bashing his head against a stone. He cannot cause harm to the scholars of Deen. He will break his own head and harm himself.
