REFLECTION - WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE???
Just imagine for a moment, IF Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had to come to visit you all of a sudden for 1 or 2 days, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE???
-
I am sure that you would have given him your best room to stay.
-
I am sure that you would have served him the best food that you have/can afford.
-
I am sure that you would have continued to tell him that it is a great pleasure for you to welcome him by you.
BUT when you would open the door to welcome him,
-
Would you go in front of him wearing your T-shirt and jeans? Or would you have changed before?
-
Would you have the courage to go in front of him without a beard? Or would you have hesitated?
-
Would you have left the magazines on the table? Or would you have replaced them with the Qur’an?
-
Would you have left your television switched on? Or would you have hastened to turn it off?
-
Would you have continued to leave your Radio FM Sansaar on? Or would you have hastened to turn it off?
-
Would you have left the music cassettes and CD’s in the open? Or would you have replaced them with the books of Hadith?
IF Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) was to stay by you for one or two days,
-
Would you have continued to live just as you are living every day? Or would you have changed your behaviour for these two days?
-
Would you have continued to speak just as you use to speak every day? Or would you have controlled your tongue for these two days?
-
Would you have continued to perform Salah with a short-sleeved T-shirt? Or would you have worn long sleeves for these two days?
-
Would you have continued to perform Salah with your trouser turn-ups below your ankles? Or would your trouser turn-ups be above the ankles for these two days?
-
Would you have continued to perform Salah without covering the head? Or would you have covered it for these two days?
-
Would you have continued to sleep in the morning when the Azaan of Fajr is being called? Or would you have accompanied Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) to the Masjid for these two days?
-
Would you have allowed Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) to meet your friends? Or would you have preferred that he does not meet them?
-
Would you have let Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) accompany you wherever you go? Or would you have changed your plans for these two days?
It would be good to note what you would have done IF Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) would have visited you for one or two days.
