Giving three Talaaq at once

When a person gives three Talaaq at once, three Talaaq become binding. This is what all the Sahaabah (Radiyallahu Anhum) have understood. This is what Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) understood. This is the verdict (Fatwa) of Hazrat Abdullah Bin Abbaas (Radiyallahu Anhu). This is what all the 4 Imaams have understood. If we say that 3 Talaaq count as one Talaaq only, it means that Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) did not understand the Qur’an-e-Kareem and the Hadith. It means that Hazrat Abdullah Bin Abbaas (Radiyallahu Anhu) did not understand the Qur’an-e-Kareem and the Hadith. It means that all the 4 Imaams did not understand the Qur’an-e-Kareem and the Hadith.

That’s too much! These people did not understand the Qur’an-e-Kareem and the Hadith but a child of yesterday, who perhaps does not know how to respect his Ustaad, claims to understand better. On top of that, he says that there is no ‘ Aalim in Mauritius.

These are all pretexts to deviate people from the right path. The saying that says not to follow any Mazhab, is a Mazhab in itself. It is not a command from Allah Ta’ala. It is not a command from Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "Adhere / Hold firmly to the principle of the Khulafa-e-Raashideen." Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) was among the Khulafaa-e-Raashideen. He had understood that three Talaaq given at once count as 3 Talaaq. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had made a special Dua in favour of Hazrat Abdullah Bin 'Abbaas (Radiyallahu Anhu): "O Allah! Grant him the knowledge of the Kitaab (Qur’an-e-Kareem) and wisdom."

Hazrat Abdullah Bin Abbaas (Radiyallahu Anhu) had understood that 3 Talaaq count as three.

Was Hazrat Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) an ‘Aalim or not? Was Hazrat Abdullah Bin Abbaas (Radiyallahu Anhu) an ‘Aalim or not?
