Here or in the Hereafter

One should not think of oppressing anyone due to one’s thinking that one has more strength than him. Everything has a limit. One’s strength also has a limit where it comes to a stop. There is a beginning and an end also for one’s strength. There will be a day when one’s grand speech that one used to give, will disappear. It is not because one will forget what one was or what one did, but it is because one will not have the strength to do it. It is one’s good fortune if one does not undergo / go through what one made people undergo. If ever it happens that people oppress one, then how will one dare to proclaim that people are oppressing one?

A friend may undergo the same suffering that he caused to his friend. If one has betrayed someone, one must expect to undergo the same one day. A daughter-in-law should expect to suffer at the hands of her daughter-in-law what she may have caused to her mother-in-law. And if nothing ever happens, then one should not think that there will be no consequence. One may forget but Allah Ta’ala does not forget:

وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا

"And Your Rabb never forgets." (V64/S19)

Therefore, we should know how to use what Allah Ta’ala has granted us. We should use it for the well-being of humanity. One’s strength can be used to build just as it can be used to destroy or demolish. It must be used in a way that is beneficial and profitable and that allows humanity to breathe in an atmosphere full of peace and harmony.

People who oppress due to their strength should realise that they also have children and a family, whom they are not able to protect everywhere. And let’s say that they can do it, but for how long? We should not forget that its consequence will follow. Whatever we do to people, we will have to suffer the consequences here itself or afterwards in the Aakhirah. People, who think of their Aakhirah, rectify their lives on earth. Here, there are several ways to escape but nothing will go unnoticed in the Aakhirah. In the hereafter, there will be an Allah who will render judgment and justice will be meted to everyone. No one will be able to either hide the truth or manipulate it nor will anyone’s influence work.
