Istighfar

Istighfar means asking for forgiveness from Allah Ta’ala for previous sins.

Everyone must constantly ask for forgiveness from Allah Ta’ala because in a way, everyone is guilty of certain shortcomings. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to ask for forgiveness 70 to 100 times a day.

"O Allah! By Your Grace, forgive the minor and major sins that I have committed knowingly and the sins that I have committed unknowingly."

Dua

"O Allah! You are my Rabb. I do not have any Rabb except You. I have come in front of Your door. Open the door of Your blessing for me because I do not have any door except Your door."
