YAMEEN

Be careful / Beware! It is not Yemen. It is Yameen which means strength. The right hand is also called Yameen because, in principle, a person has more strength in his right hand.

An oath is also called Yameen because it reinforces the will of a person to make him refrain from something. Long ago, people had the habit of raising the right hand when taking an oath. Perhaps due to this also, it is called Yameen.

Halaal, Haraam and Mushtabihaat

"Halaal is very clear and Haraam (also) is very clear. And between these two, there are many things which are ambiguous that many people do not know (their legal position). The one who abstains from ambiguous things means that he has protected his Deen and His honour, and the one, who falls in things that are doubtful, is like a shepherd who grazes (a flock of animal) around a reserve in a way that there is full possibility of falling into it. Every king has a reserve.

Suicide? Not a solution!

Why do you think of committing suicide? If you are thinking to do that because your suffering has become unbearable to you, it is in vain, because nothing will diminish. On the contrary, it will only increase your suffering. According to a Hadith, a person who commits suicide will continue to suffer the pain of his suicide until Qiyamah. Thus, committing suicide with the intention of solving a problem is like falling out of the frying pan and into the fire. Sooner or later, your way will open up, Insha Allah.

The recommended nights to spend in 'Ibaadah

The recommended nights to spend in Ibaadah are the last 10 nights of Ramadan, the night of Eid, the night of Baqr Eid, the 10 nights of Zul-Hijjah and the 15th night of Shabaan. But this must be spent at home. It is not right to do it in Jamaat in the Masjid. The Fuqaha have declared as Makruh (that is, an undesirable and a detestable practice) the practice of spending those nights in Jamaat in the Masjid. People perform Ibaadah to gain proximity to Allah Ta'ala.

Is it Mubaah?

Mubaah is a degree of authorisation. A practice is Mubaah as long as it does not necessitate the neglect of a principle of Deen. Likewise, it will remain Mubaah as long as it does not become a means of falling into what is not permissible. If one gives Khutbah in another language, it will undoubtedly be necessary not to do it in Arabic. So, at this stage one must know the importance of making Khutbah in Arabic. We all know that the Khutbah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) was in Arabic.

Points to note...

1. A man is not allowed to fantasize about another woman other than his wife while copulating.  It is a type of Zina.

2. It is recommended that a woman does not dress lightly in front of another woman who is not serious in Deen because there are all probabilities that she will describe her to male strangers.

3. Just as it is forbidden to look at the hair of a female, it is also forbidden to look at them after they have fallen. A woman must pick up her fallen hair and must not leave them scattered.
