Zikrullah

The difference between a person who does Zikrullah and a person who does not do Zikrullah, is like the difference between a living and a dead person. Zikrullah keeps the heart alive. And when a person does not have Zikrullah in him, his heart dies. When the heart is alive, a person has the desire to do Ibaadah. When it dies, he does not have the desire to do 'Ibaadah. He may just pass by the door of the Masjid or may keep talking outside the Masjid, but he will not have the will to enter the Masjid.

The protection of Allah Ta’ala

Prosperity and adversity comes from Allah Ta’ala. Without the will of Allah Ta’ala, nothing can move. Thus, there is only one way to be protected from difficulties and problems. A person must rectify his life and seek the protection of Allah Ta’ala.

The value of every fraction of second that is spent in the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala

Hazrat Maulana Hakeem Akhtar Sahib:

The value of every fraction of second that is spent in the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala is not less than this universe. These torn carpets on which the pious people are absorbed in Zikrullah, are not less than the thrones of kings.

Intermingling

The Shari’ah does not authorise the intermingling of opposite sexes, whether it is in a social or a religious gathering. It is Haraam for men and women to gather for any purpose. Recently, there was intermingling of men and women in a Masjid where a woman conducted a Khutbah and the people performed Salah together. Similarly, in Mauritius, there is a sect that assembles men and women together to do Zikr. The women, dressed in white clothes, surround the men and they do Zikr while making movements and beating the Duff. All this is forbidden in Islam.

A prescription during difficult times

Hazrat Auf Bin Malik (RadiyallahouAnhu) was in a great dilemma. He was under financial difficulties and on top of that, he had a son whom the Kafir had imprisoned. He thus went to Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) who recommended him to recite :

لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله

Istighfar

Istighfar is a detergent which Allah Ta'ala has granted us to purify us whenever we happen to get dirty with the impurity of sin. It is a practice that cleanses, purifies, lightens us and develops the desire in us to practice the Deen. Shaitaan defeats Insaan by inducing him in error and Insaan spoils the plan of Shaitaan by making Istighfar.

Tasbeehaat and Tasbeeh

Tasbeehaat are trees in Jannah. The land of Jannah is extremely fertile. It is an vacant flat land. Allah Ta'ala makes a tree grow for every Tasbeeh that a person does. It is as if Allah Ta'ala has granted us a land to cultivate. But is it not a way of saying that someone who makes Tasbeehaat will enter Jannah? Allah Ta'ala is full of grace, pity and immense goodness. It is not possible that Allah Ta'ala grows trees for someone in Jannah due to his Tasbeehaat and then He prevents him from entering.
