MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS

Why do you become angry when you are told something good? One is saying this for your own welfare. Do you think that when a hospital attendant gives you an injection, he does it for a certain pleasure? He does it for your benefit. This you can understand, but when you are told something that will be beneficial for you after death, you say:"Mind your own business". But our business and yours is the same. Is it not my business when you make a hole in a boat in which I am also?

TO RECITE THE QUR’AN...

To recite the Qur’an and read the Hadith – to understand Deen - to teach Deen and practice Deen; all these are different matters. One does not necessarily signify the other. When a person recites the Qur’an and read the Hadith in a language that he knows, it does not mean that he understands it that well. Similarly, if a person has understood, it does not mean that he can teach it that well. He may have understood it well, but it is possible that he does not have a good style to teach it.

DO NOT ARGUE IN VAIN

It is a waste of time to discuss about Deen without knowing Deen. This is because we discuss concerning Deen to get benefit. A discussion without knowledge is a sterile discussion that will not benefit anyone besides creating confusion. And very often such discussions end in fights and clashes.

Tableegh Jamaat

Question:

What is your opinion regarding Tableegh Jamaat?

Answer:

Tableegh Jamaat

Tableegh is a fundamental principle of Islam that has been practiced initially by all the Prophets. After our Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), there is no Nabi who will come. That is why it is the responsibility of the entire Ummah to do this noble task. It is the Ummah who has to take over. There are several branches of Da'wah and Tableegh. Some are doing it through talks. Others are doing it through publications. Some are running Maktab and Madrassah. And a group has chosen to give Da’wah from door to door.

Message to the Daa-i

The brothers who have engaged themselves in the work of Da'wah should know that the work of Da'wah is not that easy. There are a lot of difficulties and sacrifices to make. Going from door to door while leaving one’s wife and children to go abroad for the sole purpose of pleasing Allah Ta’ala, is a mission which Allah Ta’ala assigns to those whom He really loves. Some brothers get this golden opportunity particularly during the month of Ramadhan. It is a sign that Allah Ta’ala wants "Khair" (well-being) for these brothers.
