Assalamoualaikoum Mufti Sahebaan
We have noted that the books have been replaced by a mobile phone in Jummah Khutba.
I am not against it but taking into consideration that our elders used to write books with their Mubarak hands, in Dar ul Uloom, we are still using books and writing down notes, for Kiraat, our Quran is full of notes. Our Dar Ul Ulooms are still using old methods to teach while they could have switched to electronic devices. Would not it be better that our ulemas used the books of khutbah or read it by heart.. this would have a better assraat on the public...
The old persons in the masjids are not a 'laise' with that...
Do you think our Ulemas like Mawlana Asraf Ali Thanvi (RA) or Mawlana Abdul Rashid Gangoho (RA) or others of their level would have accepted or tolerated the use of a mobile device for khutba...
Note that am not against the use of these devices.... but I personally see it much nicer to hold a kitaab instead of an Electronic Device mainly for Khutba which is part of a very important ibadaat..

At La Ferme Mosque, La Ferme, Rodrigues, we are considering the possibility of performing the Jummah Prayer. Actually, the Muslim Musallis at La Ferme and the neighbouring areas have tendered this request to the Rodrigues Islamic Society (RIS) Executive Committee.

First question of concern, “ki minimum dimoune bizin au moment de Salat Jummah pou ki Jummah li valide?”

The number of people at La Ferme and the residential regions amounts to 8000 people as per the records of the Electoral Commission.

The number of Muslim Brothers at La Ferme and neighbouring areas amounts to 50 Muslims.

The other prerequisites are as follows:

6. Commission for Social Security
7. Mini-bazaar
8. Supermarkets
9. Stores (Magasins), Courts
10. Upholstery Store

14. Hardware Store
15. Nursery
16. Primary School
17. Secondary School
18. Mini-Bus Station
19. Hairdresser
20. Christian Cemetery
21. Basketball/Volleyball/Football playgrounds
22. Mechanical Workshop
23. Community Centre

Performing Jummah Prayer at La Ferme Mosque will facilitate the Muslim Musallis in the regions.

We would appreciate if our request will be entertained favourably.
