Sunnah of Fajr

Question: I missed the Sunnah of Fajr. Can I replace it after Farz?

Answer: No, it is not permissible to replace the Sunnah of Fajr after Farz. Rather, you should replace it anytime after sunrise until before Zawaal. After Zawaal, it will not be permissible to replace it.

Performing the two Sunnah of Fajr immediately after Subh Saadiq

Q: Is it permissible to perform the two Sunnah of Fajr immediately after the Azaan is given after Subh Saadiq?

The Salah of Tahajjud in Jamaat

To perform the Salah of Tahajjud in Jamaat during Ramadhan or outside Ramadhan is Makruh Tahrimi. At times, if it is performed in a Jamaat of 2 or 3 people without organising and without giving invitation, then in this case it is permissible. Similarly, to perform the Salah of Awwabeen in Jamaat after Maghrib as some people used to perform on certain occasions is Makruh Tahreemi.

Sunnah before the Salah of Zohr

Is there 2 or 4 Rak’at Sunnah before the Farz of the Salah of Zuhr? Some Hadith say that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) was performing 2 Rak’at just as some Hadith say that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) was performing 4 Rak’at. However the mention of 4 Rak’at is made in most Hadith. And most of the time, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) was performing 4 Rak’at.

Salat-ud-Duha

Salat-ud-Duha is a Nafl Salah that varies between two to eight Rak'aat. According to some Hadith, it is up to 12 Rak'aat. This Salah is performed in the morning. The word Duha means the interval between sunrise and before Istiwa. That is, before the sun completes half of its journey.

The last part of the night

One of your children who is staying abroad for a considerable amount of time, has finally decided to spend his holidays by you. The proposed date of his arrival to Mauritius has been fixed. You start waiting for him impatiently. You start counting the days. You find that the days are slowing down. You would have preferred that the awaited day was today.
