Sins

Immorality

It is very bad for a person to tolerate acts of immorality from his mother, his sister or his wife. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) did not even allow his wife to appear in front of a Sahaabi (Radiyallahu Anhu) who was blind. This shows that it is absolutely necessary to keep our women at home, far from intermingling of opposite sexes. Just as it is immoral to allow your wife to be exposed in public, similarly, it is immoral to allow the photo of your wife to be published in newspapers or circulated in public.

Pride

Pride is an evil quality that makes a person believe that he is superior to the next person. Shaitaan had this evil quality in him, so he was cursed forever. A person, who has knowledge or does a lot of Ibaadat, may find himself empty-handed by Allah Ta’ala if he does not purify himself of pride. It is like a barrel with a hole or which is perforated at the bottom. You may fill it with as much water as you want, but it will always remain empty. If ever it is filled, it would be for a short while only. But, at the end, it will be emptied.

Keeping photos in the house

Surah means image. The action of reproducing an image is called Tasweer. According to the Shar’iah, Tasweer (reproduction of an image) of something that has life through any means is Haraam. There are many ways to reproduce the image of something such as drawing, engraving, embroidering, taking pictures, sculpting or filming, etc. To reproduce the image of something that has life, by any of these means, is Haraam.

Merry-making

On the occasion of New Year, you can receive proposals to join some merry-making. That is, your friends and colleagues invite you to have a small drink merely to have a little fun. It goes without saying that you must not accept this invitation at any time. By accepting such an invitation, you will be carried away by Shaitaan who is your declared enemy. You will imbalance your position that was still stable till now. You will take a first step towards your own destruction.

Christmas

If you are a Muslim, it is not permissible for you to celebrate Christmas or give gifts on this occasion. When we say that it is not permissible, it means that it is Haraam because by celebrating Christmas, we are imitating the non-Muslims. Similarly, our Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) has adopted a very harsh attitude towards those who imitate others. According to a Hadith, a person who imitates a community becomes like them. Becoming like a community means that there is a risk of being treated like that community in Aakhirah.

Those whose hearts are black are the proud ones

Those whose hearts are black are the proud ones.

Those whose hearts are pure are the victorious ones.

EXPLODING FIRECRACKERS

Exploding firecrackers is not the action of a good Muslim because a good Muslim spends his life according to the commandments of Allah Ta’ala. Lighting firecrackers is a way of disobeying Allah Ta’ala. A person is no longer a good Muslim when he disobeys Allah Ta’ala.
