Taqleed-Mazhab

Qur'an, Hadith and Fiqh

The Deen of Islam is represented mainly by the Qur'an-e-Kareem and the teachings of Rasulullah (Sallalaahu Alaihi Wasallam) which are known as Ahaadith.

The Qur'an-e-Kareem and the Ahaadith, have been explained, interpreted and adapted to our daily life by the Fuqaha (jurists). This work of the Fuqaha have accomplished and developed in order to enable us to practise the Qur'an and the teachings of Rasulullah (Sallalaahu Alaihi Wasallam) in our daily life is called Fiqh.

Haafiz

Nowadays, the word Haafiz is used to denote a person who has memorised the Qur'aan-e-Karim by heart.  However, in the past, many memorised the Qur'aan-e-Karim by heart.  It was not something unusual.  On the other hand, the memorisation of the Ahaadith was less common.  How many Ahaadith should a person know in order to be acknowledged as a Haafiz of Hadith?  According to the scholars of Hadith, one should have memorised 100,000 Ahaadith along with its chains of narration in order to be called a Haafiz of Ha

The farsightedness of the Fuqaaha

We may sometimes come up with ideas about some Deeni activities and projects and we rush to embark in them, thinking of all the benefits that will be reaped but without adequately considering possible long-term drawbacks. Rush, very often leads to disastrous consequences while far-sightedness as to the long-term effects of a deed, has been acquired by the Fuqaaha, who will examine a situation and if they perceive negative effects, will advise to nip the evil in the bud.

The Reign of Juhhaal (ignorants)

According to Nabi (Sallallaahou A'laihi Wasallam)'s predictions, a time will dawn before Qiyaamah where the knowledge of Deen will be raised. This is because there will be no-one who will have the knowledge of Deen. Nowadays, ignorance has become so rampant that we can see that the general public no longer has a good judgment to distinguish between a true and a false 'Alim. It is for this reason that people are easily deceived by the eloquence, outer appearance and façade of a speaker.

An attempt to demolish Islaam

Legislations like stoning a married person who committed adultery or death penalty for a person who committed ‎apostasy have always existed. Great Ulama like the 4 Ai'mah, Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Malik, Imam Shafi'i and Imam ‎Ahmad Bin Hambal (R) did not find any defect or irregularity in those Hadith that prove that. These were great ‎personalities who, at any moment, never considered nor analyzed the law lightly in any circumstances.
