Using a suppository while fasting

Saum or Roza refers to abstaining from eating and drinking and administering or introducing anything into the body through natural passages from Subh-e-Saadiq until sunset with the intention of pleasing Allah Ta’ala.

In the light of this definition, it is obvious that administering a suppository nullifies the Roza because it necessitates the introduction of something inside the body.

Fasting is obligatory on a person who has the following three criteria in him:

1. Islam. 2. Puberty and 3. Sanity.

IFTAAR BEFORE ITS TIME

One should take a lot of precaution before partaking of Iftaar. There are very severe punishments for those who partake of Iftaar before its time. According to a Hadith found in Baihaqui, those, who make Iftaar before its time, will be hanged by their tendon / sinew. Their cheeks will be torn and they will bleed. All this will happen to a person in hell who partakes of Iftaar before its time without taking precautions.

Lailatul-Qadr

Among the nights that are filled with benefits and blessings, there is a night called Lailatul-Qadr. One of the reasons why this night is called Lailatul-Qadr is because this night is of great value. It is a night of great value as Allah Ta’ala has chosen this night to reveal the Qur’an-e-Kareem.

"Verily, We revealed it on the night of Qadr." (97:1)

Making Iftaar by mistake before sunset

Question: What does the Shari’ah say regarding a person who does Iftaar by mistake before sunset?

The word "Radan" in the dua at the time of sehri that signifies "tomorrow"

Question: Some people claim that this Dua is not correct as it contains the word "Radan" that signifies "tomorrow". How can one say “Radan” (tomorrow) when one is fasting on the same day?

Question: What is your opinion on the Dua that is read at the time of Sehri, that is: "Allahumma Inni Aswumu Radan Laka Faghfirli Maa Qaddamtu Wa Maa Akh-Khartu"? Is there mention of it in the Hadith?
