Halaal chicken

To declare a chicken Halaal, one must be certain of the following points:

1. A Muslim has slaughtered this chicken.

2. He said Bismillah before slaughtering this chicken.

3. He has severed at least 3 veins in the neck completely.

4. The chicken was still alive when he had cut the neck.

N.B:

Food and drink

Allah Ta'ala has ordered us to eat and drink but he forbade us from exceeding the limit. Exceeding the limit means to eat more than required or to eat and drink constantly at all times just as it applies to eating things that one must not eat.

Drink with moderation!

Drink with moderation! This can apply to drinking water, milk or fruit juice. But if you invite people to drink alcohol and thereafter, you tell them to drink with moderation, then you are joking.

When a person has already lost his senses and he has already lost control, then now, how will he know what does moderation means when he did not understand it before consuming it?

Investigate well

Investigate well about the chickens that you are eating. You may be eating chickens that have not been slaughtered according to the Shari’ah. Above all, you are a Muslim, you perform Salah and you fast. You must be careful about what you are consuming.

Halaal food

Halaal food is something that is pure and clean and is obtained through a means that the Shari’ah authorised.

According to the Shari’ah, swine, blood and an animal whose Zabah was not carried out according to the principle of the Shari’ah, are impure and filthy. Thus, it is not permissible to consume them.

Is it permissible to consume intestine?

According to a Hadith of Maraasil Abu Dawud, Tabrani, Musannaf Abdur Razzaaq and Sunan Al-Baihaqui, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) disapproved of the consumption of 7 parts of a goat. According to the 'Ulama, this regulation is not restricted to goat only. This applies to all animals that are Halaal to consume. Thus, according to this Hadith, only these seven parts which Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) disapproved of, are Haraam.
