Akhlaaq-Tasawwuf

Dunya and Aakhirah

There is nothing that a person does where he does not have to take a risk. In everything itself, there is risk. In walking and running, one has the risk of falling and fracturing one's arm or leg. In eating and drinking, there is a risk of choking. That is, one must accept to lose one advantage to get another advantage. An intelligent person agrees to lose a small advantage to get a big advantage. Likewise, he takes a small risk to get a big advantage.

Nafs

There is something in Insaan called Nafs. Allah Ta'ala has linked the success of each Insaan in the purification and cleansing of this Nafs. In common language, we can call it 'mentality'. Thus, according to the Qur'an, the success of Insaan lies in reforming his mentality. A person behaves well when he has a good mentality. However, he becomes a nuisance to the society when his mentality is corrupted. Thus, a prosperous society is a society where people have a good mentality.

Live for Allah Ta'ala

Everyone has a purpose in life and everyone is making effort to attain his aim. One spends one's energy, wealth and time to achieve one's aim. And the value of life depends on what one becomes finally. A person spends 10 years to become a doctor and another spends the same number of years to become a sheet metal worker or a mechanic. Thus, the life of one seems more valuable than that of the other.

HUBBUD-DUNYA

Hubbud-Dunya means worldly attachment. When the heart of a person is attached to Dunya, this creates illnesses such as greed, pride, jealousy, etc. And these diseases leads to serious sins such as theft, rape and crime which make the society an unbearable place. To remedy all these evils of the society, one must look for a means to treat "Hubbud-Dunya" which, according to Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), is the root of all sins. This can be remedied by developing love for Aakhirah through the assistance of someone who has that love.

You are a slave

Do you know who you are despite all this growing clamour of yours. You may be a minister, prime minister, president or king. You may be anyone. But do you know that you are a slave? However much supremacy and dominance you may show/whether you claim to be a boss or a manager, you will always remain a slave. You will live like a slave and you will die like a slave. You will never be able to free yourself of this slavery. Now what is left to be determined is what kind of a slave are you.

Well-being

The well-being of a person lies in obtaining whatever he needs and in being protected from things that may put him in difficulty. That is why people are interested in knowing someone who can give them both. That someone is none other than Allah Ta'ala.

Whatever one needs is in the hands of Allah Ta'ala and it is Allah Ta'ala who is the true Protector. Thus, the well-being of a person is only in the hands of Allah Ta'ala and Allah Ta'ala grants this well-being to those who remain in His obedience.

Ibaadah according to the Sunnah - the true love for Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam)

True love for Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) lies in following Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). The more a person has love for Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), the more he will follow the Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).
